State 2009 Web Design Contest
Welcome to the SkillsUSA Web Design Committee’s web site. This site is to help you deliver the State Web Design Contest. There are three parts to the state contest:
- The practicum whereby teams design and develop a web site based on the purpose, description and requirements of a hypothetical or existing organization or company
- A written exam to assess each contestant’s basic knowledge of web site design, development and administration.
- A professionalism portion that assesses each contestant’s “soft skills” and the types of skills desired by employers.
The World Organization of Webmasters (WOW), in cooperation with SkillsUSA, hopes to challenge each of the web design competition contestants in a way that will ultimately prepare them for the rigors of a competitive work environment of Web professionals.
